| Just a few more days and Ken will be home. I'm ready for him to be home. I miss him. But I know that he was suppossed to go to Guatemela. God has done great things there. I'll let him share. This morning I was listening to some music while I was working and heard a song that I have not heard for some time. I wore out the cassette tape (not CD) that I had of it from constant rewinding. I asked Dave French to learn it and sing it. (Which he did and even though he said one part was very difficult he did a great job) It summed up everything that I was going through at that time. My prayer was that song, and when I heard the song I somehow knew it was going to be ok. As I listened to it today, I said "Thank you, Lord. You allow difficult times in our life, but you worked in my life during that time. I learned to put my trust in You. You still hold us in the palm of your hand. Everything is going to be ok." The Anchor Holds. I have journeyed through the long, dark night Out on the open sea, By faith alone, sight unknown, And yet His eyes were watching me. The Anchor holds, though the ship is battered. The Anchor holds, though the sails are torn. Well I have fallen on my knees, as I faced the raging sea, But the Anchor holds, in spite of the storm. I've had visions and I've had dreams; Well I've even held them in my hands, But I never knew those dreams could slip right through Like they were only grains of sand. O, the Anchor holds, though the ship is battered. The Anchor holds, though the sails are torn. Well I have fallen on my knees, as I faced the raging seas. O, the Anchor holds, in spite of the storm. Now I have been young, but I am older now. O and there has been beauty these eyes have seen; But it was in the night, when I faced the storms of my life. Oh, that's where God proved His love to me. The Anchor holds, though the ship is battered. The Anchor holds, though the sails are torn. I have fallen, fallen down on my knees as I faced the raging seas. But the Anchor holds; O, in spite of the storm. I said I've fallen, fallen down on my knees as I faced the raging seas; But the Anchor holds, in spite of the storm.
I pray that you realize that the anchor holds and who is holding the anchor! |
